I am in need of the 22" adapter bar as well as the knobs with holes in them. I love this Lap stand.

Is the measurement the total length of the bar or the distance between the innermost holes? I don't have this particular stand but I think I might be able to use this with my current floor stand.

Hi Jen,

We measured the 12" adapter bar, since these are a little different then our side bars. (which are from hole to hole) With the 12" adapter bar it's 14" all the way across the wood. The outer holes are 13" from hole to hole, and the inner holes are 9" hole to hole. If you want the measurements for another size please let us know. Have a great day!

Does anyone else carry the EZ Stitch Lap Stand anymore? I am in need for some parts for mine. I have stripped the metal threads out of one of the knobs that holds the adapter bar in place, so I'd like to find a new one before I try to remove the threads from the bolt. (These knobs have a hole all the way through the center.) I'll have to do something when I get ready to change the adapter bar for a smaller project than the current large one can handle. Also, I'm having trouble tightening the knobs that hold the frame in a raised position. This forces me to lean forward and down unless I place the stand on a table, which ends up being too high. Is there any help for this problem?

I do really like my lap stand. I've had it for quite some time. With the adapter bars I can work on everything from small to very large projects. I would like to be able to keep using it even after I (someday) get a floor stand for my largest projects and to use in my recliner.

As of right now the one legged EZ Stitch Lap Stand is no longer manufactured. However we know that parts are still needed to use the stand. We are working on carrying the knobs with the holes that goes through the entire knob. Check back in the next couple weeks we are hoping to have inventory of them by then.

I have the same lap frame that goes between the legs. I too will be needing the knobs with the through holes at some point. Any word yet on getting them? I love the frame

We are adding these knobs with the holes all the way through today. Check back tomorrow and they will be on our site and available for purchase.

Hi, Donnett. I am wondering if you have found out anything yet about the knobs with the holes all the way through. I want to change adapter bars so I can work on a much smaller project than the last few, so I'll need to move or remove the threaded tube that is left on the bolt from the stripped knob.

I have an idea that it may be possible to drill out the grip side of a standard knob, which is otherwise exactly the same as the one I need. (I have extras because I bought some bronze knobs awhile ago.) But I'm not sure who I could find to do it, and I'm concerned that it would be difficult to do without ruining the drill bit by bumping it against the metal threads inside the knob. Maybe use a router bit instead? Would you know a woodworker who could help if the manufacturer won't?

What do you think?

Can you tell me what the adapter bar is used for? Are these sold as a pair or single item?

So I'm not sure how to explain this without pictures. This bar is for the EZ Stitch Lap Stand. They have have one leg in the center that has a clamp, which then clamps on to this bar.

However we do not carry the EZ Stitch Lap Stand anymore. We have these available for those who already have the EZ Stitch Lap Stand.
