Donnett's Stitching Story

So as promised my Stitching Story!

When did you start cross stitching? I started cross stitching in about 1989 / 1990.

What made you want to start cross stitch? I saw a neighbor doing a Welcome Wreath and thought it was beautiful.

What was your first piece you finished? A small ballerina bear for my daughter.

What is your favorite finished piece? Well, I have 2. First up is Fairy Dreams from Lavender and Lace. This was my first linen piece and I was / am so proud of how it turned out. Second is Grandmother Fairy from Lavender and Lace. I always told my daughter she should give me the Grandmother Fairy when she found out she was pregnant and that is exactly what she did. So I started the Grandmother Fairy when I became a Grandma.

What does Cross Stitch mean to you? Oh it means so much to me, it mean peace and love. I find stitching very meditative, it brings me a break from the crazy world.

Now I want to hear from you... What is your Stitching Story?
