We have listened to our customers and we are pleased to introduce a lightweight version of our Tomorrow’s Treasures Lap Stand. The side support pillars, extender bars and spacers are fashioned from solid North American Aspen wood. Aspen wood is a very beautiful and soft white wood that is fairly strong given it’s weight. This stand is presented unstained* to accentuate the beauty & softness of this wood in it’s natural form. Aspen weighs roughly 1/3 less than red oak and our complete Aspen stand weighs roughly 2 pounds, or 40% less than it’s Red Oak counterpart.

Its Twin Pillar construction provides a stable platform for all your projects both large and small. Design features include full 360° frame rotation for quick, easy access to the back of your project. The extender bars allow placement of your frame to best suit your seating position and the position of your project for either lap or table use.

This versatile needlework stand will help you get the job done. This stand mirrors our other Tomorrow’s Treasures lap stands in design & dimension allowing you to work with both hands free for better stitch control & less fatigue. Crafted entirely in the USA of superior domestic materials, this light weight and lower cost version of our most popular stand will accommodate scroll frames from 6 to 60 inches wide.

This sturdy frame assembles in minutes without any tools required. This stand comes with a complete frame including 8” Extender Bars and 16” Scroll Rods with your choice or our No Baste version including 32” of Scroll Rod tape or Webbing.

* Aspen is a softer, light-colored, even-grained hardwood. It accepts most stains that are non-penetrating but it is not recommended for staining unless a conditioner or sealer is used prior to staining due to it’s slightly porous nature.
