What does backordered mean?

When an item is backordered there is currently no inventory for that item. More items are ordered or produced and will be available as soon as possible. Waiting time is generally less than one week but certain items can take up to five weeks to refill. When there is a Backordered Until date shown, that specifies our best estimate of when we will have that item back in stock but is not a guarantee of availability. When an order is placed for an item that is on backorder, that item will be shipped when it becomes available.
