Gingerbread Christmas Tree Etui by Victoria Sampler Spotlight Video
Join Donnett and the Sit N Stitch Gang from Embroidery.com for our very first Stitch-A-Long!
Beginning January of 2018, we will be starting a year long Gingerbread Stitch-A-Long, featuring the beautiful Gingerbread Patterns from Victoria Sampler. Each one of our local stitcher's will be stitching one of the Gingerbread Cottages.
Todays SPOTLIGHT VIDEO is on The Gingerbread Christmas Tree Etui.
The Gingerbread Tree Etui is stitched on Gingerbread colored linen, using delectable overdyed silk and cotton flosses, sparkling buttons and multicolored beads for candies! Create this wonderful Stitchers’ Etui that doubles as a delicious mantle-top Christmas Tree decoration!
(Oh and in case you were wondering, cause I was, Etui is a small ornamental case for holding needles, cosmetics, and other articles.)
Delicious buttons and beads make beautiful ornaments for the green branches and lots of white stitching make white icing. Underneath the bargello skirt are four snowy Christmas scenes:
A small snowman made from the freshly fallen snow.
A horse drawn sleigh-ride in a Wintery Wonderland
And of course Santa and reindeer flying over town.
One side opens up to reveal a place for your scissors, elasticized bands are able to hold other needlework tools, you can even add rings to hold your flosses!
Place the complete Gingerbread Christmas Tree Etui on your mantle, on your Christmas table as a centerpiece, or beside your Stitching Chair to give you some extra Christmas cheer as you stitch.
